Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Gridcap platform, operated by Gridcap Engineering Ltd. By generating an assessment or purchasing a report, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Nature of the Service

Gridcap provides an automated software tool that mathematically models theoretical electrical network capacity and Active Load Management (ALM) feasibility based strictly on the parameters input by the user. The Service generates a preliminary engineering assessment formatted for submission to UK Distribution Network Operators (DNOs).

Gridcap is a software tool, not a physical engineering consultancy. The generated reports do not constitute a physical site survey, nor do they guarantee the structural, electrical, or thermal integrity of any existing installation.

2. User Liability & Installer Responsibilities

It remains the strict legal and professional responsibility of the installing registered competent person (e.g., NICEIC, NAPIT) to:

• Physically verify all assumed loads, maximum demand estimates, and diversity calculations on-site prior to installation.
• Inspect the condition and rating of the existing cut-out assembly and metering equipment.
• Ensure the installation complies entirely with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations) and relevant ENA Engineering Recommendations (e.g., EREC G100).

3. No Guarantee of DNO Acceptance

While Gridcap reports are designed to align with standard ENA EREC G100 methodologies, final approval for any network connection or ALM scheme remains at the absolute discretion of the regional DNO. Gridcap Engineering Ltd makes no warranties or guarantees that a DNO will accept the proposed connection, strategy, or hardware.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable UK law, Gridcap Engineering Ltd shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation: loss of profits, delays in DNO approval, network failures, or damage to electrical infrastructure resulting from inaccurate data submission by the user or improper physical installation.

5. Payments and Refunds

Payments for the £49 ALM Feasibility Report are processed immediately upon generation. Because the product is a digital deliverable generated instantly based on bespoke user inputs, all sales are final and non-refundable once the PDF report has been delivered to the provided email address, except where required by UK consumer protection law.

6. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
